This was a show for industry personnel from all walks of hardware -from tools to paint to heating to anything outdoors. Char-Broil’s TRU-Tour had a prime location to showcase the TRU-Infrared Technology right outside between the exhibit hall and the outdoor, tailgating area. With the help from CharBroil’s sales team from all across the world working inside the convention and the mobile grilling team outside, Char-Broil’s show force was a large success.

With the drivers all racing for a final spot in the standings, Char-Broil raced to provide delicious mouth watering samples off the TRU-Infrared grills. We also took time out and invited Matt Goerke of BTO Sport and WE Racing, who is also sponsored by Bubba Burger, to stop in and autograph Char-Broil shirts for spectators.

Read more →It was a beautiful day for another BBQ competition, this time it was the Tri-State BBQ Fest in Dothan Alabama that would host the TRU-Tour. The festival had over 45 competitive teams, multiple music acts, and a numerous amount of activities for both young and old. Located right by the main entrance Char-Broil’s TRU-Tour was definitely a exhibit to see, and it helped having a giant flame rising above the event site to catch everyones attention.
Read more →Jay hails from just outside Indianapolis, IN. After attending school at the University of Indianapolis, Jay has spent many years in the world of promotions. Some of the brands he has worked with include Cadillac, US Army, State Fair, Unilever and Chevrolet. In 2011, Jay headed up the Indianapolis Team on the Char-Broil Sales Associate Training Program and then toured for both Gardein and Air National Guard, both Marketing Werks mobile tours.
Jay spends the off-months back home volunteering at the local high school. His favorite thing to grill is salmon.

Read more →Maggie grew up in the ‘burbs of Chicago. After deciding that the winters just weren’t cold enough for her, she headed to Marquette, MI to study Entertainment and Sports Promotions at Northern Michigan University.
After graduating in May of 2011, she joined the Marketing Werks team on the PlayStation Vita Social Club team and showcased the new Vita to the gamer guru’s of Chicago.
In her off time on the road, she enjoys the sunshine, playing volleyball and camping in the wilderness with mother nature. Maggie’s favorite thing to grill is chicken.
Maggie got the traveling bug and decided to mix her love of new places and her career together and jumped at the opportunity to go on the road with Char-Broil in 2012. One year just wasn’t enough, so she’s now back for her second year on the TRU-Crew!

Most recently, Don was stacking up the miles for Marketing Werks as the primary driver on the Air National Guard Tour in 2012. A self-admitted Jeep man, Don has spent the last few months running Jeep ride and drive events across the U.S. and was formerly the primary driver on the Navy: Excellerate Your Life Tour.
Apart from being a well-seasoned driver, Don is also quite the grill master. In his free time, you will find him either crafting his own rubs and spices or perfecting ribs, low and slow, on his own Char-Broil Offset Smoker. On his list of things to do is start a grill pit team that travels to all the high profile BBQ contests…being on the road with Char-Broil will, without question, get him started down the right path. There is no doubt that Don will bring his road expertise and love for the grill to the 2013 Char-Broil Tour!
