Smoked Sea Scallops can be served alone as a delicious meal or as an additional side with any grilled steak or chops, pasta, or rice.

Ingredients

  • 12 Large Sea Scallops
  • Char-Broil® Pinch of Sizzle? Seafood Seasoning
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 4 Slices or Wedges of Lemon

Instructions

  1. In sauce pan melt butter and clarify; reserve to brush on kabobs and to make sauce.
  2. Dry scallops with paper towels; brush scallops with clarified butter; then season with a pinch of Sizzle Seafood Seasoning
  3. Place scallops on a smoker* at 250°F; cook for about 15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  4. Add more Sizzle Seafood Seasoning to rest of butter; dip the finished scallops into butter; then serve with fresh lemons.
  5. Serve as an additional side with any grilled steak or chops, serve with pasta, or just on its own or with some rice.
  6. Best with apple or peach wood on the smoker.

  1. Cooking scallops for 90 minutes seems like way too long!

    • Robyn – Thanks for pointing that out! It was a typo on our part. The cook time should be about 15 minutes and not 90 minutes. The recipe has been corrected thanks to your keen eye.
