My family enjoys our Thanksgiving turkey prepared outdoors. Traditionally I’ve smoked the bird – love that wood smoke flavor! But this year they did not want smoked turkey. We enjoy roasted chicken in our Big Easy Smoker, Roaster & Grill year round so I decided to prepare the turkey that way. I brined it, dried it, seasoned with Penzey’s Mural of Flavor, cracked pepper & kosher salt and cooked in the SRG.
Cooked in a little less than 3 hours. Added two apple wood chunks and a handful of cherry wood chips. Came out good as always from the Big Easy SRG! ~ Jim
