Happy Birthday America!

It’s the 4th of July. Independence Day in the United States of America. To mark this day Americans come together in groups that range in size from more than a million in large cities to small family gatherings in backyards – and every size community and neighborhood in-between – to view parades, pageants, pie making and eating contests, join in silly-but-fun sack races and there, in the backyards, park and city rooftops too – barbeques are smoking across the country. At nightfall – the skies across the nation will light up with sky rockets and crowds will speak the same language of: “ooh” & “ahh” in unison. Youngsters of all ages will laugh and slap one another on the back, self congratulating on their wicked stealth as their neighborhoods resonate by the loud explosions of miniature bombs. Backyards everywhere will be filled with the delighted squeals of children waving sparklers for the first time.

Hot-Dogs

If this sounds familiar it’s because in one form or another we all do it. We celebrate. We are Americans and it’s what we do best of all. We are proud of our country and of all that we have accomplished in such a short time, world history time line relatively speaking. We celebrate – we gather together – we laugh and joke and we are quiet and reflect upon all that others have given to allow us this freedom we so enjoy.

And when we celebrate there is food. Oh my goodness yes – there is food in abundance. Traditional favorites are hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken and ribs, corn on the cob, watermelon, and maybe some home made ice cream. Because we are a great nation – there will also be every flavor of every culture on earth at our picnics be they public or private family events. Yes we are that big and that rich in culture and on the 4th of July we are all singing the same song – many voices in unison. The true greatness of our independence.

As you celebrate this 4th of July – Char-Broil will be there with you. If you are one of the hundreds of thousands of civic volunteers grilling hot dogs at events before the parades, or if your family is one of the millions who will be barbequing chicken in the park several hours before the light show in the ski begins; or one in the tens of millions of backyards across the 50 states where burgers and ribs on the grill are wafting a sweet smokey aroma to the hungry folks waiting – Char-Broil will be there with you. Wherever there is food cooking outdoors in N. America it’s likely Char-Broil grills will be the grill of choice. Because more Americans grill their favorite food on a Char-Broil grill than any other.

The folks of Char-Broil are grateful and honored to have this important role in your celebrations and extend thanks to you in one simple phrase…

Happy Birthday America!
