If you are new to outdoor cooking forums and online communities I hope you will soon come to experience the community of sharing that occurs between the members of the Char-Broil LIVE Community Forums. Regardless of the amount of cooking experience you have – if you enjoy backyard cooking I can pretty much bet you will meet some folks who really enjoy sharing their secrets, tips and tricks with one another. just for the satisfaction they help one another make tastier food!
Besides tips on how to use your grill you will most likely come away from each visit with recipe ideas. This is a good one created by Tommy aka “TMB” that has become a favorite of members of the Char-Broil LIVE! Community Forums. I asked him a could of questions about how it came to be.
CB: “Tommy that photo is just too much for me to comprehend…where did you get this idea?”
Tommy: “I call it BBQ-Parfait and it was inspired by a video I saw online. Come to find out the video was inspired by a similar dish at Lockharrt’s in Tennessee. I pretty much made this one from memory and improvised – using pulled pork shoulder I cooked on July 4th and vacu-sealed before freezing. I added some homemade baked beans and cole slaw.”
CB: Well this is an outstanding use of BBQ and a great way to carry it around!
Tommy: And let me tell you it is a tasty meal or snack!

Re BBQ Sundae-
What’s the white stuff on top?
I was unable (incapable) of locating the recipe?
The white stuff on top is cole slaw. You could probably also use potato salad, but I would imagine that a vinegar based cole slaw would work best.
Thanks – Michael
This is such a creative way to have lots of food in a small space ! I think I will try this for a cookout sometime! Love the flavor combo too:)
I think you could get pretty creative with it and folks at a backyard or camping cookout would enjoy the ease of having a meal in a cup they can hold, rather than a plate they balance on their laps! I know kids love it!
